We now have 15 brands of decaffeinated coffee and espresso on sale. The decaf coffees from roasters Costadoro, Illy and New York more and more assume unchallenged top positions. It is absolutely fantastic how mild, mellow and harmonious this coffee tastes. Unfortunately, people still believe that the flavour is extracted with the caffeine. Thank goodness, this is wrong because a higher quality standard is applied especially to first-class decaffeinated coffees as compared to other types. Only the best washed Arabica beans from the best origins are used for decaffeinated coffee and are roasted slowly and gently in a rotating drum. The resultant best quality is worth a try. The elaborate processing and roasting method produce coffee, which is relatively mild and mellow and has a full-bodied flavour. Fragrance and bouquet of this coffee are unique and complex.
