Lucaffe Coffee Espresso Italiano Piccolo e Dolce, 2.20lb whole beans
Lucaffè Piccolo & Dolce Espresso Italiano consists of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta coffees.
Worth mentioning is the remarkable medium to dark roast as well as the low degree of broken beans, which is indicative of a gentle processing. All Lucaffè brands are roasted the typical Italian way, i.e. slowly and gently in a rotating drum resulting in a harmonious blend of fine and spicy aromas. This slow and gently roasting also makes for extracting to a large degree the bitter components, which render it very mild, smooth and gentle on your stomach. What is also typical for all Lucaffè coffees is that they have a slightly sweet and chocolaty aroma with a hint of malt.
Lucaffè Piccolo & Dolce Espresso Italiano’s flavour is somewhere between Mr. Exclusive and Lucaffè Classico. It is therefore very rich and forceful and has enough volume and body for Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato too. The somewhat unbalanced acidity is overwhelmingly neutralised by caramel notes. Like all Lucaffè coffees it has a slightly sweet, chocolaty note and a very pleasant lasting aroma. Those 10% Robusta give it a nice and dense crema. Piccolo & Dolce Espresso Italiano = red bag.
