La Brasiliana - Coffee Espresso Special Oro Blue, 0.55lb grounded |

La Brasiliana coffees are all a great pleasure.
Delightfully full-bodied in flavour, a very nice crema and medium caffeine.
Torrefazione La Brasiliana is based in Ferrara near Bologna in Emilia Romagna. A number of good coffee roasters are based in this region, however, La Brasiliana is in the top league. Just a little more marketing and drive and La Brasiliana would revolutionise the German market with its three brands. With all La Brasiliana coffees you have the impression that they are exactly roasted as they should be. Only the best Arabica and Robusta coffees are used. Only first-class beans, no cracked ones and no unripe beans or anything else that does not contribute to a top-class coffee. In Italy itself La Brasiliana Special Oro Blue is the best selling coffee which is probably because it is a classical all-round coffee. Oro Blue has a spicy medium aroma, a full-bodied elegant flavour and a slightly chocolaty overtone. Due to the percentage of Robusta coffees in it whose coffee oil content is nearly twice as high as that of Arabica coffees it makes for a very nice crema.
Aiming to marry optimum features of each coffee into a perfect blend each of them is being slowly and separately roasted in small batches at constant temperatures in a rotating drum. This way each coffee contributes to an optimum result, one to the richness and harmony of aromatic ingredients, the other to balancing acidity, fruity overtones, body, volume or lasting fragrance and presence. After roasting and cooling the coffees are mixed into a perfect blend. This procedure is much more elaborate than many conventional coffees; however, we gain much inspiration from having La Brasiliana Special Oro Blue as a result. It is a truly extraordinary roast. Try a La Brasiliana brand, either Marfisa or Rosso Extra or La Brasiliana Special Oro Blue and you will be as thrilled as I am and probably never change your brand again. Excellent price-performance ratio. |
