A perfect blend of Arabica and Robusta coffees – tangy, full-bodied and prefect crema.
Costadoro roasters have a very clear line: there is the elegant and smooth Masterclub, then the big-selling aromatic Caffè Costadoro and last but not least this spicy and full-bodied Costaverde.
These three brands cover much of what coffee drinkers like. Costaverde has only 60% Arabica and 40% of high-grade Robusta which also reflects in the delightfully thick crema. At first Costaverde seems to be a bit rougher, stout and tangy. Mr Langella of Costadoro calls this the typical Mediterranean flavour. I do not like it but tastes differ as we all know. www.espressosorten.de describes it as having malt and cocoa overtones, reduced acidity and reduced characteristics of Arabica coffee.
