Brus Chiccocrem is a full-bodied coffee with an excellent flavour and first-class crema.
There are enough coffee drinkers who insist that only the big names such as Illy, Jolly, and Lavazza etc can make perfect coffee because they overwhelmingly use Arabica coffees. Well, strictly speaking this is wrong. Each roaster is going to tell you these days that real top-class coffee always consists of a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffees. Brus Caffè roasters use high quality Robusta from Guatemala, Indonesia and Puerto Rico for their Chiccocrem that are easily comparable to very good Arabica coffee. Robusta coffees have a much higher coffee oil content which reflects in a fantastically thick crema in your cup. Another feather in their cap is their gentle roasting which in 15-18 minutes at constant temperature gives Brus Chiccocrem its excellent flavour.
You can sense it when you sniff the intense aroma and stout flavour. The hazelnut-colour crema testifies to the bouquet and presence. When blind-tested together with the five big coffee roasters Brus Chiccocrem was voted number one by 4 participants (given this price-performance ratio!). 2.20lb coffee beans make about 140 cups which then means a cup is £0.07 only. Where else do you get such top-class coffee for this price?
